Botox is the most used technique which functions by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscles can no longer contract, and consequently make the wrinkles relaxed and soften. Botox is most often used on forehead lines, lines around the eye, and frown lines. Keep in mind that wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity will not respond to Botox.

Fillers:

The injection of dermal fillers minimizes the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles in the face, especially around the lips. They may be used alone or in combination with laser therapy or other methods used in procedures. One of the main benefits of the fillers is that the results from the product are longer-lasting than those obtained from other wrinkle reducers, including collagen and fat injections.

There are 3 types of gels that are used to give volume to the lips, cheeks and laugh lines, namely Permanent gels, Temporary gel, and Semi-Permanent Gel.

Filler-Injections

Permanent gels

The most important concern with these type of gels is that they are made of acrylic polymer, which do not exist in the natural human tissues. Therefore, after a while the gel might breakdown by the body’s response totally or partially. In this case there is no possibility of injecting the gels again due to an allergy response.

Temporary gel

This gel is made of hyaluronic acid. The tissue’s intercellular enzymes in the injected area, can cause a degradation of the gel over time and therefore the affect disappear after a certain amount of time. This kind of gel does not result in complications such as permanent gels.

Here is White complex clinic, we use these temporary gels which have the best quality, and with the least side effect. The effect of these gels usually stays for around 6 to 9 months.

Semi-Permanent Gel

These gels are very good filling properties, with fewer post injections complications. These gels are mainly used for deep wrinkles and lasts longer than other gels. However, they can not be injected in some areas, such as the lips.

What should be done before or after the injection of the filer?
